Friends Ask: Is Creamed Honey the same as raw honey?
Hey Hunnies & Happy Holidays!
Jace and I are incredibly excited to have the Christmas season in full swing. We’re thinking about decorating the Christmas tree, baking snowflake cookies, and gift-giving. Wanna know what almost every person in our family asks for? The gift of honey of course!
After years of the special requests, we’ve come to expect that time and time again all our family members really want is the gift of sweet, wildflower honey. And our creamed honey is probably the most popular of all! When gifting to new friends, we often get asked the question: Is creamed honey raw honey? Is it the same thing?
This is an interesting question; in short, yes: creamed honey is raw honey. All of our creamed honey is made 100% dairy-free and without any additives. We simply infused raw ingredients into the mixture to add natural flavor. Now, even though all creamed honey is raw honey, that doesn’t mean that all raw honey is creamed honey.
Raw honey can be found in various states: liquid, half crystallized, rock solid and fully crystallized… and “creamed”! The state that the honey is in doesn’t dictate whether it is raw or not - the pure nature of the product, the beekeepers like us who produce it, that is what dictates whether or not a honey is considered raw.
Raw honey is considered any honey that is pure, bottled from the hive, and has ever been exposed to excessive heat or additives. We stand by our honey and guarantee it’s quality and “rawness”. We use this raw honey straight from our family beehives to produce our various honey products, including our signature creamed honey!
